Baraka Bethany Elihu, ma psych, grounds her work in the creative process. She holds sacred space for women as they claim their power to craft the life of their dreams! Integrating experiential & expressive arts therapies with woman-centered archetypal psychology, Baraka offers a dynamic and meaningful framework for therapy. Sessions are often described as compassionate, empowering, innovative and deeply supportive. Baraka has a BA from the University of Georgia in Sociology & Women's Studies. She graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Goddard College in Vermont and is currently working towards licensure with Pathways Counseling, Inc. Baraka is trained in herbalism, homeopathy, phoenix rising yoga therapy and is a certified life coach & doula. She has apprenticed with both Susun Weed and Whapio, elders in the Wise Woman movement. Baraka currently lives with her beloved husband & daughter in Athens, Ga. In her spare time, she enjoys dance, performance art, research & writing and has a book titled Birthing Ourselves into Being.
